Thumbs up Thanks for the Smile ! ! ! !

Just a quick note to say "THANKS".

I get the feeling (and think I'm correct in assuming) that the vast majority of you Guys (and Gals) out there are from the Great and Glorious US of A.

I, on the other hand, am from the land further North. And as a proud Canadian, I would like to thank the Administrator of this board (and anyone else involve) for the Canadian Smile

When I first visited this board and saw , I thought it was pretty cool. Now I have my own as well.

So from me and my fellow Canucks to y'all I say thanks for making this place feel like home.

That's all for now

Well Phoenix, I would definitely recommend that you make the trip sometime. It's definitely nice country up here - and not as "icy" as some of our American friends think. Yes, winter in Winnipeg can get pretty white and pretty cold, but the summers are very green and very warm (100 F is not uncommon in July and August).

Also, you and I have a bond on the sporting level as well. Your very own Phoenix Coyotes (NHL team) called Winnipeg (Jets)home for many years. Unfortunately, the American dollar just made the NHL a little too rich for our blood.

O well, I still have my truck .

I've been to Brantford and London Ontario. Not bad up there. Cold as hell as I was sitting in that tree waiting for that poor deer to come by though!!!

Canada sounds great. U. of Toronto is one of my top choices for college so I might move up there.

Are you aloud to own firearms in Canada? Didnt they ban them? That sucks big time. I would never live in a country that doesnt allow me to own a firearm. I LOVE guns and carry my 45 everyday (it rides b*tch). Crime is on the rise in my area so its my american express (i dont leave home without it) You never know you may be the victim of a car jacking or armed robbery. Its happens more then you think.

Guns dont kill people Cops kill people.... j/k
I seen that bumper sticker once and I laughed.

Yes you can own firearms in Canada.

The regulations have recently been changed but you can own them, including handguns. You can't transport/carry a handgun without a permit, generally permits are issued to transport a handgun to and from a range. It would be rare for someone to have a permit to carry a handgun on their person, this type of permit would most likely be issued to a prospector or someone doing search and rescue work.

Thumbs up

I have been to both Victoria & Vancouver BC and it was beautiful. I know they have socialized medical program, but isn't the personal income taxes high? I remember going to the Expo back in the mid 80's and the one time on my 19th. birthday in a strip bar and drinking legally. WOW!
