no start
im not gettin any spark on my 70 lwb 6 cyl... i tried a different coil even though i tested it, i used jumper wires to the coil..., i checked the coil for voltage durring cranking..., i cleaned the rotor and cap and inspected all the plugs... im thinking it has to be the points or somthing inside the distribuor. any ideas

Re: no start
Has it ever run? Tried jumping coil to starter? If that is good I'ld look seriously at condenser. Swapping points and condenser is only about 10 bucks, and is an easy fix.

Re: no start
Make sure that nothing is touching that shouldn't be inside the distributor. If the wire that passes through the distributor body is cut and touches against the distributor you will not get anything. If your getting spark at the end of the coil wire (disconnect it from the top of the distibutor and set it near the block and turn the engine over, it should spark out the end) the points are good, if not check points. If you don't get spark at the spark plug (pull plug and hook back up to wire and crank over, it should spark) it's probably cap and or rotor.
