Control Arms
Anybody have pics of the difference between 67-70 control arms and 71-72.What are the visual differences?Thanks,Mike

The upper and lower control arms on the 1/2 tons are the same in the front from 67-72 as far as I know. The ball joints are different though.

The steer stops are different on the 67-70 vs 71-72, but its an easy mod with a grinder on the spindles. As mentioned, the balljoints will swap.... L

So what happens when you switch to the front disc kit that changes everything to the disc style spindel. This is what I did. What do the newer steering stops look like?

Here are some pics of my 70. This also is the disc conversion kit with dropped spindles. Maybe someone has pics of the 71 or 72 so we can compare.

Sorry, I dont have any pics to help you....my 69 has 71-72 lower arms, but the bump stops, & a good portion of the steer stops are cut off to add clearance on a cut coil setup. To answer the ? on what does it do with the 67-70 lower arms......you dont get the full turning radius , as the stop do not let the wheels turn as far as they should. This is not a big issue, as you can modify either the stops on the spindles, or the arms themselves(whichever you are more comfortable with)...... L
