i just make sure i have a nice gap in front of me, my drums work OK but id much rather have disks.... if some of us "just like our trucks the way the general made them" than whats wrong with disk brakes, power brakes or power steering? all of these were availble on 67-72s.....
700r4 swap? hell yes i'll be upgrading to Overdrive..... i like being able to go a little over the speedlimit and get kickass gas mileage..... well i already do get 17 which aint bad.... ------------------ My Truck pictures www.xframeimpala.com 68 4x4 short fleetside 327 CH465 edelbrock intake and carb MSD distributor its the "SHAGROLET" 56 big window short stepside 235 dual 1 brls 64ImpalaSS 327 70 C10 LWB fleetside custom/10 350/TH350 IM me on aol SN= SHAGROLET

Turbo 400? Why would you want any modern stuff like that? Just cut a hole in the floor and do like Fred Flintstone.

I agree with 68 Suburban 100%...except maybe the 400 part, I'd go with a TH350 myself.

Cool top 10. I would say send those to Letterman, but the rest of the yuppie world probably wouldn't get it. Anyway, my drums stopped OK, just always pulled to one side or the other. I got bored one day and for the hell of it drilled my drums the way you buy rotors already. I noticed a slight difference, believe it or not. I drove for two years with these drums (before I found cheap '71 parts), and they never cracked. I even had them turned once when I changed my shoes. The shoes wore down pretty fast, I wish I would have known about the Kevlar ones then.

I wanna know more about the power booster on the drums?? If it gets me stopping even 25% better, I'd like to know which boosters work best and which vehicle to swipe a master cylinder from!!
