WTB Cab

Ok guys so I think I have finally decided that my cab is farther gone than I would like to mess with, so here it is, I am looking for a cab to put on my truck needs to be big back window and prefer non-ac although my dash is good so I could swap dashes if I had to. Let me know if you guys have one or know of one somewhere, the closer the better, and the cheaper the better, just a poor college student here so funds are short, but I am willing to pay the price for a decent cab. Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: WTB Cab

What are you looking to spend? Do you have the ability to pick it up at a freight terminal?

Re: WTB Cab

Mainly depends on condition, I think the upward limit of my budget would be around $1000 for a rust free cab, I don't even know what it would cost to freight a cab but I could pick it up at a freight depot, the cost of shipping it would have to be taken out of that $1000 though. I may be completely off base with my numbers not real sure, but that is my starting point.

Re: WTB Cab

For a grand you will most likely have to look for somthing close to home. Just for a point of refrence its nearly $1000 to ship a cab from cal. to NC, and that does not include materials to palat it.

That is kinda what I was figuring, a cab is pretty big and bulky so I figured on my college student budget shipping was pretty much out of the question. Thanks for sharing your knowledge man, gives me an idea of what I need to be looking for.

Although I have already gotten 3 PMs from people out west and 0 locally, maybe I need to move

Re: WTB Cab

AR would be doable, depending on the price and the condition of the cab, you have a PM.

Re: WTB Cab

There are some pics of cabs in tavenner13 junyard thread. I went there but did not pay any attention to condition of cabs. It is D& G auto salvage in Tyler TX and phone # is 903-595-6499. Probably 4 or 5 cabs total.

Hey otsenre,

Maybe, you could share the directions or contact info on your buddy's truck lot?? I'm just west of T-DAD.

Hey 71swbChevy,

I could hook you up with a decent cab, but I'm in CO also.

Re: WTB Cab

Holy crap guys, what is up with all the trucks in CO Anyway if I don't find anything locally I may just have to come hang out with the CO crew for a week this summer, got family down there so maybe I could make a family event and a pick up a cab for Drew all at once. I have a couple of possibilties a little closer I am going to completely explore before tackling much of a journey for a cab, thanks for all your posts though guys, at least I know there are some good cabs left out there!

If you don't mind a few dents I may have something for you. I have several, but haven't decided which ones I am keeping. Will try to take pics this weekend.

Re: WTB Cab

Rick I would appreciate the pics thanks, dents don't bother me, have an uncle that use to work at a body shop so he can help me with that, he just never did rust repair thats what I have right now is a nice cab other than rust.

Bigblock, what does the cab you can hook me up with look like? If it is a nice cab and the price is right I may be willing to make a drive up there to grab one, thats a pretty decent drive but it would be worth it for a decent cab.
