Repro Lower Control Arms.
Hi all
I was wondering if there were any repro lower control arms for our trucks,or if it was a dealer item only?I would rather not get a junkyard find. I noticed my left front shock was not doing its job after a rather rough railroad track crossing.Found out that it ripped the lower shock mount off the LCA.more mangled actually then ripped, but still you get the idea I have called a few parts wherehouses in the area and to no avail.Nobody but dealer seems to get then around ehre and he(the local GM dealer) wants over $200 for 'em. any guidance would be great! ![]() |

I can get used parts from the boneyard for $40.00 each. I bought an entire front suspension off a suburban for $80.

At the moment(from what i could see) I only need the one driver side.
78SilveradoSWB: thats true, but it was at dealer discount(work at a Dodge dealer)so list price I was quoted at over 300+.Then i get it for 10% over the dealers cost. ![]() Gchemist:They want 25 for the arm(used at a salvage yard) and 30 to pull it(cause i dont want to be knee deep in the mud around here ![]() Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated. Ill have to look into LMC. ![]() |
