Easy and Cheap stopping

Hello-

I have a 62 with a drum/drum set up. There is a small twinkie-shaped master cylinder (i think) attached to the fire and that is it. What is the easiest and most cost effective way to increase stopping power? I do not have the funds for a disc swap.

thanks all!

matt

You can get a power booster to assist the drum brakes. Some of the venders here can help with that.

I just added a boster to my 66 with drum brakes all the way around, and it has helped a lot.

How easy is this install? Could anyone run down the procedure? The only experience I have with brakes is pad/drum replacement and adjustment.

Thanks

Look in the FAQ Index in my signature, there's links to adding booster to the 67-72 trucks, but it should help you out too.
