Body Trim Removal Tips Needed!
Please post your best tips and tools needed to remove the body side trim on my 70 LWB truck. I have done it before but I always scratch the body or put a slight bend in the trim piece. I have searched the board for tips and found no super tips to help. I have also seen and read several ways to put trim back on - (1) factory type clips (2) Tape clips (3) 3M double side tape. All input will be appreciated. Plan on painting truck in the next few months. Thanks.

ive always had luck on these types of jobs with a door panel removal tool like one of these:
  if you scratch the truck removing it it doesnt really matter cuz youre about to paint it and these are designed to apply even pressure to help avoid damage to your pieces Last edited by tavenner13; 07-21-2007 at 10:37 PM. |
