front wind shield

I'm going to my local scrap yard where I heard there were some trucks of our year because I'm looking for a windshield. I was wondering what the best method is for pulling the front glass out. Any do's and dont's from your experiences? How much should I be expecting to pay for this used glass? Thanks in advance!

Re: front wind shield

if you can find one, just take a razorblade and cut the front half of the gasket off and then lift the windsheild out. I don't believe there will be any urethane holding it in. Don't use a whole lot of force, they crack pretty easily.
