No more rust!!
I spent time today working on my truck. Several large parts were coated with No Rust. I used a brush for a nice thick coat. Once all the parts are coated they are going back on the truck.

were in the world did you get that stuff cause mane that would make my chevelle shine. is stead of daull like it is know beed liner spry is nice but it doesnt give that real nice shine to it.

I ordered the No Rust from Restorations by Rick Kreuziger, out of Sparta WI. I'm using spray cans for bolts and small stuff. The large parts get the foam brushes. A one gallon can is enough to do A LOT!! I'm buying a paint gun to reduce the can and spray paint the frame. The gallon costs $50.25. I think it's worth the costs because the can can cover a lot of area. No Rust is supposed to be better than POR-15. I'm using both so we'll which one holds up better. I'm gonna hate stratching the parts as I begin to rebolt everthing.

Sorry, the name of the product is Zero Rust not No Rust. The cans are blue and red. I'm loading more pictures tonight. One of the pictures will be the cans.

Someone actually used the stuff to paint a truck!!
The official website is http://www.zerorust.com/ You have call them for a source near you. My order came from Restorations by Rick Kreuziger. Phone 608-269-0493 10533 Jason Avenue, Sparta WI 54656. I talked to him personally. My order arrived in three days. The shiny coat is based on much you mix and apply. The black mixed very well will turn out less shiny. I'll post of pictures of the parts after they dry a few days. The application on the fender wells was not mixed throughly. I'm applying a second coat next week. I'm not sure if will come so shiny. Either way all the parts look really good. It seems POR15 has a shiner finish upon drying. However Por15 will fade with sunlight. Zero Rust is supposed to stand up to the sun better. All the parts were cleaned. I used a wire brush ro remove loose rust and dirt. The less rust there is on the application the better. Last edited by gchemist; 08-18-2007 at 12:07 PM. |
