Tailgate for a 73-87 GMC/ Chevy truck. This gate is straight. Paint is original and in good condition. I got this gate from a guy that took it off his truck so he could haul a goose neck trailer. This is a GMC gate but excluding the trim it is the same as the Chevy. The stainless tailgate center band cost more than I’m asking from the LMC trucks catalog. I would rate this gate a 9.5 out of 10. You will not be disappointed with this gate. Anyone who has bought an aftermarket China made gate will tell you to look for an original. Asking $225 OBO. No shipping. Located in Sacramento

That looks like a very nice piece from the pictures. Price seems good for what it is.

I am pretty sure that band is only "correct" (for those concerned with that) for a 70's truck.
I am also under the impression that earlier tailgates do not work on later trucks and vice-versa due to the brackets being different. Not sure if the brackets are interchangable or not though? And not sure what the year differences are either?
Just pointing this out before someone gets too involved with it and have it not work out.
