taking the bed off the 73

just in the middle of taking the bed off the truck and wondering the best way to go abouts doing this..once i pop the 6 bolts out what the safest way to take it off..any help is good help!!

Use an engine hoist if you have one avalible and cut some 2 x 4 to fit in under the lip of the bed tying a tow strap to them or buy a case of beer and invite two friends over

You have 8 bolts...and I think it is easier to have 3 friends help remove it. It is how I did mine and it worked great!

Make sure you have unbolted the filler neck(s) from the bed and move them out of the way. Also, make sure that there are no straps or hose, attached to the bottom of the bed, it's really annoying and robs the strength you are using to left the bed off if you are getting hung up on those things!

Make sure the rearend vent hose thats bolted to the bottom of the bed and the taillight ground wires are unbolted before taking the bed off.

1965 shortbed fleet great granddads. Been told im nuts to bring it back from the dead (still going to happen) plans-all stock with a turbo 292 inline 3 speed column shift. and thats it

big block 427 and 5 speed trans and ford 9 inch theyhave no home yet thinking what to put them in

and a 79 c60 trash truck um no idea i have one
