Re: wtb door transmission
I dont have one to take a picture of. I was at 70GMCER's house yesterday (really nice guy by the way). I told him about my droopy handle and he had one there with a broken spring, and showed me what was wrong with it. It is the part that the inside door handle mounts to. If needed, maybe I could get 70gmcer to send a pic. Thanks

Re: wtb door transmission
Tim Christian has the reproduction handles that are built much better than the originals (don't have the little pot metal tabs to break off, which is probably what's happened to yours). I've seen them in person and they are a quality product.

Re: wtb door transmission
Thanks for the picture 70gmcer. Krue, the handle is fine. It is the broken spring in the latch control (pictured above) that is causing the problem. But thanks for chimin in anyways.

Re: wtb door transmission
I was searching high and low for one of these for a 72.
I have yet to see one without a broken spring. Then realized these are reproduced now. I've seen them on lmctruck so check with the vendors. A new one should be between $15 & $20. |

Re: wtb door transmission
I may have one in a 72 blazer you can have for the ride if it's worth anything. If it doesn't rain all day tomorrow I'll go look. Which side is it?

I should have one, replaced mine with repro. Are '72 trucks and Jimmies the same? Let me find it first and make sure it functions, drive over and its yours J.
or ship? thought you were in spring city, I'll wait for Krue, see if he can help you out first

Re: wtb door transmission
Never heard it called that. I thought maybe you had powered doors to go with some kind of push-button ejection seat.... James Bond style.
