wiper motor wiring

These are the wire harnesses for my 72 blazer for the wipers. The one on the left goes to the switch the one on the right is the motor. I installed a new wiring harness and all it has is wiper power. So can someone give me the dummy version of what wire to what wire

Re: wiper motor wiring

FIRST, you are missing two plugs that go at the wiper MOTOR. There should be three. (See photo below)

Wiper switch plug:
Black wire = low speed
Dark blue (center) wire = wash
Light blue wire = high speed

The wiper switch wires are ground wires. If you remove the switch and simply jump them to ground, it will make each function work.
**NOTE - for high speed, you have to ground BOTH light blue & black at the same time.

Wiper motor plug:
Yellow wires are hot. One goes to fuse box and the other goes to the other terminal on the wiper motor. (see photo)
Dark blue wire connects directly to the dark blue wire on the switch plug.

(MISSING WIPER MOTOR PLUG):
Yellow wire - jumps around to the other yellow wiper motor plug. (see photo)
Light blue wire - connects directly to the light blue wire on the switch plug.

(MISSING WIPER MOTOR PLUG #2):
single black wire - connects directly to the black wire on the switch plug.

I hope that helps. If you need any more info, shoot me a PM.

Re: wiper motor wiring

I have a question.
I have all of the plugs described by Putter in this thread, but where do they plug in?
As it is now, I have the single black plug going from the switch to the wiper motor (3 terminal motor) and the 2 prong plug with the single yellow and light blue going to the other 2 terminals on the wiper motor.
The remaining 2 prong plug with the dark blue and 2 yellow wires is just hanging unconnected. What is it supposed to connect to?
