Re: Pictures of my Plane Jane 71

A couple of weeks ago when I went to get it out of the barn, It wouldn't start. Cranked and pumped and cranked. Nothing! Not getting gas, but the gauge said 3/4 full. Checked the carb--nothing. Pulled the gas line going into the pump--nothing. Blew into the line and could hear it bubbling in the tank. Sucked on the line and ----of course got gas. Hooked the line back up and tried to start again. Nothing. But this time I could smell gas, lots of gas. Looked under the hood to find gas spraying all over plain jane. The rubber fuel line had rotted. I'm lucky I didn't burn down the barn and Jane.

I'd go stock with it! Tweed seems to date vehicles a bit. Everyone was doing it a few years ago and you can see that while at cruise ins and shows. A stock or stock style interior is classic and will always look good!

Love them both, and don't put tweed in the 4x4.

It looks just like it rolled off the lot. As the others have said, nothing plain about that truck. Very nice!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Pictures of my Plane Jane 71

The picture of it going back in the shed was the last time I looked at Plane Jane. Never drove it this year. I got the 72 out of the shop so I could build my paint booth. Cleaned it up (washed it) and put modern wheels and tires on it.And there it sits.

Think I'll get Plain Jane out this spring break. It's been along time since I have looked at it. Hope the mice haven't remodeled it.
