New Guy from Rain City

Hi all,

Another new member !! I'm from Seattle and I'm building a '68 resto/street rod out of the remains of my last three daily drivers. I've been a Chevy truck lover for years, but just now getting around to building a decent one. I just did what it took to keep 'em on the road 'til now (which wasn't much). They've always been good to me.

There's a shot below of how she looked a couple weeks ago and a link to a web page that shows some of the steps along the way. I started last May and I'm trying to get 'er on the road before the snow flys out at my brothers place out in the Cascade foothills.

I found this site when I was searching for a wiring diagram.... and here is was !!

I can tell I'll enjoy being a member here. I'm a bit of a forum whore. I operate an American Iron forum at www.OldBikers.US that I started less than a year ago. Most of the guys there are the older guys from Shovelhead.US

Anyway. Thanks for lettin' me in here! Be talking to ya !!

DB

Welcome aboard, we have over a dozen or so members in the Sea-Tac-Oly area and even a couple of vendors who keep us supplied with anything we can't find in each others spare parts stash. I'm south of Spanaway down on the Mountain Hiway.

Re: New Guy from Rain City

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

I'm looking forward to getting to know some fellow old Chevy truck nuts.

I'm heading back up the hill to my brother's place in the morning to get back to work on the old gal. I got a long ways last week. Here's how it looked when I left for the city.

I made a new web showing some of the steps along the way if you're interested. I pretty much tore it all the way down to the ground and started from there last spring.

http://daryl-smith.com/chevy/68.html

I'll be talkin' to you all soon !!

Thanks again,
DB
