New guy, pics of my '63 Step LWB
Hey everyone, this is my baby! Paid $720 for her, then spent $80 on a battery and new cables. She fired right up. Within the last couple weeks i've also replaced the following:
1) Spark plugs, wires, points, condenser, rotor button and dist. cap 2) Oil and filter 3) Thermostat, both gaskets and upper radiator hose ( has a mercedes radiator in it right now, but soon will have an original) 4) Battery and cables 5) All dash lights 6) Blinker switch, parking lamp/blinker wiring and new park lamp lenses 7) Wiring for starter, coil, oil pressure sending unit and water temp sending unit along with new temp sending unit and oil pressure sending unit ( these are not on yet. they will be here monday ) 8) Carb rebuild kit (also going to be here monday) well then, that was a kinda long list. I also ordered a reprint of the original shop manual. let me know what you all think. Thanks for looking! HERE IS THE LINK TO THE PICS. http://s116.photobucket.com/albums/o...W11/63%20C-10/ |

Re: New guy, pics of my '63 Step LWB
Yeah, that's what everyone is telling me. I used to own a '66 Step SWB, it was my first car. I paid $800 for it about 12 years ago. It belonged to my uncle. I had a good bit of rust on it, more than my '63. It did have a 327 with a Weiand high-rise intake, carter afb 4 barrel, full length headers and true duel exhaust running through glass-packs. that baby would tear up the tire (no posi) in 1st, bark in 2nd and chirp in 3rd.

Good buy. Nice truck. I bought my 65 off of ebay for $685.00 (no motor or trans) then had it towed to the house for $55.00.
