Does anyone know the exact date of when the swap meet is. Who is going to it?

Wichita is one big show. 7 to 7 Friday, 7 to 5 Saturday. $3 parking this year, no admission charge, though. I usually spend 5 hours there Friday afternoon, sometimes go back Saturday. You can usually get something for about any vehicle there. Dress warm, some of the vendors are outside if everything isn't coated with ice. Three pavillions, the big one (front) is mostly parts, middle is vehicles for the auction, back is parts and tools.

Hey FredT,
Do you know Ed Wilson from Augusta? I think he's into Model T's, but it might be Model A's. |

Yukon, I have not made any plans for the swap meet, however Ironhorse told me at Christmas time he was planning on going, and might want to get together. Are you going to Starbird show? Did you make any progress last weekend?

I'll be checking it out. I'm not ready to start buying a bunch of restoration parts yet, but if I see something...

I can't say that I know anyone that's into model T's anymore. My high school shop teacher had one that his dad bought new. If that doesn't date me, nothing does.
Zurbo, if you haven't been there before, you'll find something you just can't live without. You might even find something for that Olds you have!

Manes Truck brings a load of stuff down - had some pretty good prices last year. I'm gonna have to really work hard at resisting buying a sliding rear window this year!

Hey, barn, Jack Seen the post here and thought I would reply. The swap meet is the 7th & 8th of Feb but as of right now I don't have a booth. Long story with the bitter ending being I'm on the waiting list. Still hopeful and still plan on going booth or not. I'm like a kid in a candy factory when I get around car/truck parts at a swap meet. Plan on being there Friday and Saturday both. After work Friday and early Saturday. Se ya' there maybe?
To anyone who has not been to the Sunflower swapmeet it's the best one Wichita has to offer without traveling several hundred miles. You owe it to yourself and your car/truck to go at least once.

I hope Tom has the 72 fixed by then if not she will want to take the Eclipse, then how could I buy anything. I'd have to store it at FREDT's or Yukon Jacks.

For those that haven't been there, it's tough to meet someone at the meet. Three buildings, a packed parking lot, a lot of people, and it's usually cold. None of this keeps people away. Like I said, I will be there Friday afternoon. Saturday I'm usually at the train museum downtown Wichita all day working in the shop. E-mail me if you want to set something up. fradt@cox.net
Now, for you bar-b-q lovers, the best in town is B&C Creations at 3rd & Washington near downtown and easy to get to. Only open for lunch, 11 to 2. Buffet style, all you can eat and it melts in your mouth. Friday is busy, Saturday is relaxed.

Maybe we all could meet up for lunch or supper. I agree it would be hard to meet up before or during the meet since it's so spread out.

Randy we are probably driving a pickup down so don't sweat it. If you buy somthing and you drive the car we can probably haul it home for you. Now if you buy something good and i could use it no telling when you would get it. haha. You can follow us down so you won't need directions.

Thanks Fred tell Mary I'm not much of a arm wrestler so she would be safe.
Travis I'll do some more talking to Susie, she's not real hip on it yet, I'm trying to make it sound good.
