Re: T56 into a 67......
Good Deal. Just out of curiosity...with your 373 gears what is your 5th gear rpm (assuming you have a 1:1 5th gear and 15" tires) Thanks!

Re: T56 into a 67......
I don't know! I just got the linkage working, and just tore the entire truck apart again to do some stuff with the frame. I have 15" tires right now, but the truck won't be roadworthy for at least another few weeks, at least.

Re: T56 into a 67......
Are you going to put the 4 speed tranny cover in it now? Looks like you doing a great job! Do you have a rear mounted fuel tank? Reason being is I dont think moving the engine back 2.75 inches would make much difference. Thats all.

Re: T56 into a 67......
These were really the best shots I could get of the linkage. Sorrry. I forgot that I used such a cheezy fastener, but hey I was only seventeen and was building this truck in my moms driveway on my own in highschool. HAHA. There were so many days I wanted to throw in the towel. I jumped into this with both feet with out testing the waters.
On the picture of the Mcylinder mounted on the outside firewall::::: the "thing" wrapped up in a towel is my computer. Wasnt sure where to mount it at the time and its still there. I was just wanting to get the truck running. But anyway these are the pictures. I am totally inspired to get it all cleaned up and fix the little things like this. I got married and had kids and lost a lot of free time... Also threre is a pic of my extra T56 out of a 99 camero. I bought it with only 250 miles on it. Some idiot wrecked it brand new the same week he bought the car. I bought this in 2000 and took a draw from my work to buy it because of how hard at the time they were to find. Re: T56 into a 67......
6speed1972- that's a nice truck you got there...
ryan913- I'm going to use a tall hump trany. cover to repair my floor. I already got the hump but it will need some work and the floor needs some work before it gets installed. now I've got to sale the small hump carpet and get a new one for the tall hump, so if anyone needs the carpet let me know, new in the box and it's black. Thanks "slowtruck"
I appreciate the compliment. I busted my rear to get pictures on here before the snow and then no one commented. LOL. I am glad you liked it. It means a lot. Have a great day! |
