I am really impressed with the information I have found on this forum and how respectful everyone seems to be here. Thanks for having me.

Now to the good part! I have a 1979 GMC that rolled off the factory floor as a 2WD Diesel and now it's a lifted 4x4 with a 350. And I wish I could say that all that was done correctly when I bought it. But I can't.

No reverse and lost all but first on the drive home. Had transmission rebuilt. Many things found wrong and fixed

I had to rewire most of the lights. I still have no idea why there where so many splices.

Truck slipped out of Park and in to Reverse. Nothing like running in the door at work to grab stuff and coming out to where your truck used to be... Only to find it drove across the parking lot and down in to the ditch. A ditch that is deeper then my truck is tall by the way.

Got that fixed and had the front drive shaft lengthened so now front tires spin without grinding.

Rear drive shaft fell off when driving down highway. Learned how to take off drive shaft in the dark in 10 degree weather. Had that rebuilt.

Took out drop in bedliner to find paint in bed coming off in chunks. Luck for me the roll bar was only bolted in at the wheel wells by three bolts each side to taking that out was easy.

Had new speedometer cable made. I'll put that in this weekend and let you know what falls off when I do that. I'll also drill the rest of the holes for the roll bar this weekend. Please don't let me drill in to the gas tank!

wow sounds like a bit of a headache Fixing things that where done wrong the first time stinks. Looks like an awesome project tho. You said that the Toy@%& is a V8?

Hmm looks like a Plymouth to me?

The green and white one is a 1957 Desoto fireflite. It has a 341 hemi and now can be found somewhere in Sweden. I sold it for a down payment on my house. I still miss it.

I got the truck cheap. But I have paid for it to have it done right! At least I know I wont have to fix those parts again.

The Toyota/Scion? V8? No way! It just has a bunch of TV's for shows. 5 TV's to be exact.

Very good Guess on the Plymouth, Chrysler, Desoto. Same family.

Sorry you can't see them Nate. I have no idea why you can't.

Anybody have any idea on what color I should go with? I want to remove the Bed liner from the sides and go with some kind of design. Like back to white with blue flames or a blue and white camouflage. I don't really know so some ideas whould be helpful.

im a big fan of the two tones and will be doing mine dark blue and silver to me it looks rich.. yours i could see in a white pearl with dark blue accents or maybe flames
on this board there are several white trucks that look real sharp
