anyone use the wood steering wheels like they have in LMC or the ones Grant sells at the auto part stores?
If you have one is it good and does it look as good in the truck as they do in the catalogue? any problems with fitment? does it make the wheel closer?
do they last good or does the finish come off and the wood splinter

I've got one in the 86 farm truck from Grant. It looks pretty nice, and doesn't sit out any further than a stock wheel. It has a slightly smaller diameter than stock as well. So far the wood seems to have held up fairly well, no splinters or anything visible.

all the ones I have ever seen were a little too small, but I biased just because I really like the nice skinny, big around wheels our trucks come with from the factory.

yeah years back i had a grant wheel that wa in a car and it seemed kinda small it appears the ones in the LMC Catalogue are stock size but im afraid to invest in one unless someone has a decent experience with it as alot of time stuff looks great on paper and when ya get it its junk

hmm I pondered this too for a long while. I went to bone yards searching for one. I found the one in my profile picture instead (rubber grant). Cool cause it is the older 3 spoke. I also grabbed the 88-95 butterfly GM wheel and kept my stocker. My dad likes the newer style and I think i might change as well. I would have gone wood but dang those are pricey....

THE BANJO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and these guys are complaining cuz these Grant wheels are expensive.... try finding one for a 36 Ford Coupe, right dad!!

chev74, I was not complaining a bought the grant one but others i have seen the prices where crazy. If it is wood tho gotta be a 3 spoke in my opinion. those 5 spoke wooden just look wrong
or this hahhahaha. I think this wheel was past even the bondo fix.....

dont laugh they stole the steering wheel off an astro van i had once and i had to drive it home from the impound yard cause they wouldnt let me install the new one in their yard or on the street in front of the place

I have a wood Grant in my Charger, 13".....it's held up fine for the past 6 years, and most of that time I had a PS box, but no PS pump, so it was very hard to steer.....have since forund a manual box....

had a grant elite wooden wheel with 3 aluminum spokes. never faded had no appearence problems with it. i cant remember if it was a 14" or 14.5" wheel. id buy another but for the price of them ill get a billet

I have one like Los Lowrider. After about 17 years I sanded down the wood and cleaned it up and re-varnished it, looks like brand new.
