Front cup question

I remember seeing this before but cannot find it, probably should start writing these things down. My front cups are 2 1/2 inches tall, how much should be cut off to get max drop and keep the airbag rubbing? Thanks Greg

Re: Front cup question

I can't remember the number either, but I would just cut them so they are flush with the top of the arm.

Re: Front cup question

1.5" for me (69 arms). Seems to be a common height to go to. I think the later arms 73+ can go lower due to shallower pockets. That's what I recall reading.

I have the 73+ arms and with 1.5" lower cups, the bag just rests against the back of the lower arm when fully deflated... No rubbing whatsoever at ride height.

Re: Front cup question

something ive wondered about with this question, how much harm would there be if the pocket around where the bag would rub was heated and pounded out with a hammer?
