disk brakes on 3/4 ton?
i am buying a 62gmc 3/4 ton. does anyone make a disk conversion for these? if so i am going to chrome the stock rims if not i might as well change everything out to 1/2 ton?

On a '63-70 you can simply take the whole disc front suspension from a '71-87 truck and bolt it right in... 1/2-ton, 3/4-ton whatever.
'62 is torsion bar, so I'm not sure if its just as easy or not.

I remember a web site where a guy put a 73-87 front cross member under his 62. I remember reading that it was pretty much a bolt in with the exception of drilling two holes. Maybe some one will come along and give you the web address.

Search thru the old messages and you will find what you need. You can bolt the 73-87 crossmember and complete front suspension into your truck. As a bonus since you have a 3/4 ton you dont have to change anything on your rear axle like the 1/2 ton guys do!
