Best summer Car-Auto event - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

We are planning a road trip from Southern Arizona to Toronto Ontario this summer and we would like to attend as many big events as possible and would like to narrow it down to the best month to do this.
Things like the Nats or maybe the Woodward cruise, just asking for some input from across the nation, so lets hear it from the board. Nice weather would be a plus also!!!

What dates are you hoping to head up this way?
I'm just north of Toronto and I'll look thru my old autos' paper and give you some of the events listed so far. Right now I'm off to hockey with my son.

Hands down best show is Goodguys Columbus beginning of July

Another vote for columbus. I hear its a pain to deal with all the traffic at the woodword cruise. Just my two cents worth.

What would draw you to Toronto in the summer? It's way too hot and humid that time of year.

I'm about 50 miles East of Hogtown, The BigSmoke, The Rat Hole, The U.N., T.O., or as our friends in Western Canada call it...."The Center Of The Universe".

Votes are comming in for the Goodguy in Columbus and August is looking like it will be too crowded and HOT I am listning to you folks that live up there and you all say it is too hot!
Atomsplitter, we know about hot down here in the sonoran desert, but as they say it is a dry heat all 110* +!!!!
I haven't been back since 1985 so I want to visit the last of my relitives while they are still around, we left there in 1949 from the K-W area, and I thought I could take in a few car shows while we were in the neighborhood!

Hot August Nights in Reno - 1 full week. Multiple cruises - restricted & open, Ongoing Show-n-Shines, Nostalgia Drags for 3 Nights, 4 Days of Auto Swap Meet, Auctions, Free Live Bands every Night. Harrahs Auto Museum.

Oh, and there's Gaming and Tahoe's nearby, too.

I just can't seem to put it on a map between AZ and ONT!

You might want to consider Back to the 50's in Minneapolis, June 20-22. Over 10,000 cars and trucks, '64 and earlier. One of the better ones.

The Back to the 50's sounds like it would be worth the drive and see some country I haven't seen before, but the drive to Reno may be a little out of the way!
So far the columbus sho is still taking votes, what is the date again?
