Re: new from washington state 70 blazer
Welcome from Bothell. Did you just buy that or were you selling it. I remember seeing it listed for sale and thinking it looked like a good buy.
There is a get together at the Monroe Spring Swap meet in may. Check out the northwest section for other local events and get togethers.

Re: new from washington state 70 blazer
workin on more pics. yeah i bought it off a kid in tacoma. the paint is krylon but i will be changing that when i get the funds. has the typical rust in the floor pans at the bottom of the doors and kick panels but i think the rocker boxes are fine. ends up i have some sort of electrical problem where it wont hold a charge. i ripped out the aftermarket stereo and cb thinking that would help but nope. so now i am waiting to buy a full wire harness... trying to figure out which is the best to get and from who. there are alot out there if anyone has any ideas please fill me in.... also was curious about flux wire welding if it is crap or if it will do what i need. has a 68 front clip on it which i am in process of swaping back to a 70... pulled a hood off of a pickup at a junkyard and scored a grille from a different guy in tacoma for 125 those things run like 600 in magazines. it aint perfect but it will work for now. my wife just gave me the ok to spend the government refund all on it so looks like in a month or so i will be blowin about 1500 to try and get it running and fix the rust.

Re: new from washington state 70 blazer
Welcome from Maryland.I really like your`68 Blazer....I know,I know, didn`t come out`til`69.That think would have looked better for what the previous owner was going for with some black wheels, though.

Welcome from N.L. Mi.! Always great to see another K5er join up! I also own a 1970 K5, and am getting ready to rip and tear it apart and resto! Will have some parts coming available sooner or later. Decent grille', axles, etc. K5 to stay alive!

Re: new from washington state 70 blazer
Welcome from another Kitsap'r! Nice looking rig, I saw it on C/L before you bought it. I miss my Blazer...
Flux core mig will work fine, just go slow, do small spots to avoid warping and remember, flap disks are your friend!
