Scored a truck bed trailer today.
There's a old guy that I deal with on old cars/trucks/parts all the time that called me today and said he found something that he "knew I'd be crazy about." He said he bought out a yard of some old Volkwagens and that in the mix was truck bed trailer that was "like 'em ol' body style trucks you like." He said it was in his way and if I'd come get it, I could have it. Naturally, I jumped in the Z71 and took off. Its a 71 - 72 GMC rear frame section with LWB bed, 5 lug 12 bolt rearend, and a nice camper shell/cap/topper. Its a little beat up, but real solid. Its fixable, but since I have a few decent LWB fleets, it may be easier to change out the bed. It has holes for body side molding, but they are gone. It has a tool box that mounted in front of the bed, but the PO took it loose to keep and decided to let it go afterall, so its in the bed. I want to paint it to match one of my trucks, but I can't decide if I want it to match the dually or the '69 C/10. It has a nice tougue, jack, and the lights still worked. It even has a State assigned identification number, so it has been inspected and deemed roadworthy, so I guess that's good.

That actually looks pretty solid.... looks like it has coils and overloads on the rear. I think that was an option on the GMC's. Good score! LockDoc

It does. I have seen overload springs behind the axle, but I've never seen them in front like these.
