Anyone have a '73 (has to be a '73) radiator overflow bottle cap? If not, anyone know where I can get one?

No, no pic. All I know is that 73 was a one year only deal. I can easily get a 74 bottle and cap...but I would prefer a 73 setup. If you are in a JY, a 73 will have the bottle held in place by a metal bracket....74 and newer directly bolt to the core support.

i parted out one about a month ago.. i think i kept the overflow bottle cap, but i never figured out if the truck was 73 or 74. ill see if i can dig it up and get a pic

Thanks Blue, BTW, a 73 bottle is almost a perfect square...should make identifying it easier.

For a pictorial description, click here and look directly above item #19. 1973 has a unique cap to it. All the rest of the years had the hoses coming into the tank, 73 had them go in and out of the cap.

However, the 73 tank also has a hose connection at the bottom of the tank too.

Update, called Classic Industries...they carry it, even though it isn't in their catalog. I will keep you guys posted, especially if it is incorrect and I still need one.

jeff i went back to the jy today and got one. the jug was held on buy a metal bracket. it is just about square but it dont have hoses comeing out of the cap it got one coming out the bottom i will get a pic torom. ok

Hi guys. I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if you ever got that photo of the 73 overflow container and the bracket that holds it. I was interested in using one in my truck, but I cants find anywhere that sells the bracket or even what it looks like. Thanks! Eric
