72 to 68 grill swap?

72 GMC 2500.
I'm wanting to use the 68-70 all chrome grill instead of the stock black and chrome. From the pictures i'm seeing, everything looks the same, does anyone know if mounting brackets are same as well? I just think the chrome looks better.

Re: 72 to 68 grill swap?

This must be a stupid question. Both grills look the same, so the mounts are either exactly the same, or couple holes drilled will mount. I'll just go with it and show pics when it's done.

Not a stupid question, you just posted it in the FAQ section. Should have posted it here...

Re: 72 to 68 grill swap?

the 68 - 70 grill will swap right in place of your 71/72 grill.
You'll need to swap the upper bar off the old to the new, but other than that, it is a straight up R&R.
