Ok guys, i want to order a lowering kit to be there for when i get home in july from iraq. did a search and found plenty of stuff but my real question is how low can i go without doing a bunch of mods on a statis drop. i know i will prob need a adj trac locator and i can do a c-notch if needed. just wanted to know how much i can go and have the truck sit level. any help would be great. thank you for your help.

Looks like he has a 66.

You can do 3" drop springs and 2.5" spindles up front, and 6" drop springs and whatever size block you want in the rear. 1.5" blocks would get you "level" at a 5.5/7.5 drop ...assuming you don't have leafs. You'll definitely want the adjustable track bar (I like the ECE super track bar for it's longer bar), C-Notch, and shock relocators at that point.

.....this has a 4/4 drop,actualy 3 1/2 in front but it did settle just around 4" hope this helps come home safe...and thanks.......

hello again, sorry for the lack of info yes its a 66 short/fleet. no leafs trailing arms set up. have not even though of rim tire combo as of yet. Just want to do a good drop without doing any crazy front end mods and keep it level. was thinking of the grand slam kit from CPP because i wouldnt have to try and piece anything together. If anyone knows of a better kit out there please let me know. and thanks for your support.

I just did the CCp kit, it comes with DOstech shocks , not sure if they are the best, others will chime in , I just installed mine , use lots of PB blaster non th ebolts for sure...mine ended up breaking , but it worked out ok

Check out ECE (Early Classic Enterprises) for some great kits, products and service. On their site they have a page with drop stance photos with various drops, which will help give you a good idea on what you can expect.
