Re: Calling all 55-59's

Sam59 - I pulled the front end and the motor. I have a buddy helping me with the install of the frame box and cross member with better welding experience than me. It was quite a bit of welding and more difficult than I had anticipated reading web sites that claim that the install can be completed by people with intermediate experience (guess I define intermediate differently). However, I am taking it from here now that the welding is completed and will be installing the steering, breaks, pumps, etc.

My house is sold, I'm getting divorced, but I'm keeping the truck. I'll be back in about six months. Never give up on your dreams!

Sweet...for some reason I did not make the connection because of your avitar. Wow your 59 is in great shape. I first built my truck with my dad as well in high school. It took me 3 years! but it was worth it. Now I am doing upgrades that I could not afford to do in 1984 . Can't wait to see your progress

Sam59 those are great pictures, man the seat is wonderful and great guage set. Did you install that? I have been thinking about getting one of those down the road...assuming my wife does not kill me for what I am already spending on the truck. . I may have to join BondoBob..just me and the truck. Keep up the good work, you're right where I was at when I first finished my truck. The gals love them
