Need Some Battery Hold Down Pictures
I bought a battery hold down and hardware kit from LMC. (The kit is for 60-66 Trucks) The hold down bolts do not look like they will work. I would like any close up pictures you have of a factory or close to original battery hold down set up.
Thanks |

Re: Need Some Battery Hold Down Pictures
Glad I went to look. Remembered my new battery didn't allow my hold down bracket to fit quite right, and I needed to work on it!
In the first pic a sshort bolt is shown that holds down the front side. The hooked end of the bolt goes into the radiator support bracket in a hole that faces the battery right below where my finger is. On the back side a longer bolt(not shown) goes from the back side of the top mount and hooks in a hole in the battery tray about a third of the way up the battery. Hope this helps! |

Re: Need Some Battery Hold Down Pictures
I have the same brackets, but my battery was 2 inches too short, so I need a bigger battery or a new system

Re: Need Some Battery Hold Down Pictures
Thanks,
Mine has the same holes in the same places. I will modify one of the hold down bolts and try that. |
