50 gmc/chevy parts interchange

I just picked up a 50 GMC 100. This truck is in better shape than my 49 Chevy. Plus it has a title, so I'm gonna work on this one. Are Chevy fenders and inner fenders the same as a GMC other than the park light hole ?

LOL that is too funny. I asked the same question for the exact same two trucks and got a bunch of good info. Just look on page (2) and for the topic "Mix and Match" and theres some good info

lol thanks, I've been searching, just didn't look in the right place I guess.

I checked out the mix and match thread some good info but not exactly what I need to know. Are the front fenders and inner fenders the same as a Chevy? I can get a set in nice shape but don't want to buy them, if they wont work.

Well the inner fenders seem to be a bit different near the front where the radiator support inserts to them. I think you could fabricate(hack) that part but they dont cost much new so thats the route im taking. Its those fenders that cost a arm and a leg. Far as the fenders(outer) they fit because they are the exact same other than the lower light signal not being there.
