Burbs getting a transplant

After spending the last couple months working on my new 74 its time to get back on track with the Burb. I don't have a build thread on it since I found this site 4 years after I started on it. Since its my daily driver I've been building it slowly over the years. To date its had the suspension, brakes, and most of the driveline rebuilt or replaced. Now its time for a heart transplant. Since CA has such wonderful SMOG laws my 79 has to abide by it makes engine building a P.I.T.A. if you don't want to be pulling the engine every 2 years to get a smog certification. Well here it is its a 355 with 8.75-1C/R, hypereutectic pistons, molly rings, Edelbrock performer power pack (heads, cam, intake, and carb all C.A.R.B EO 50 state legal), and a Mallory HEI. It should be a reliable combo and give the Burb a little attitude. I'm hoping to get it in when I finish getting all the little crap(EGR valve, thermo switches, belts, hoses, waterpump, ect.)and it gets a little cooler.

Re: Burbs getting a transplant

How about a detail picture of the intake manifold. I don't seem to remember being able to find one anywhere for the EPA legal one and was wondering about location of the EGR mount/hole.
If you could that would be great. Thanks.

PS; the engine looks great! Should give a little snap to the step of your 'burb too!

Re: Burbs getting a transplant

Its a Edelbrock performer p/n 3701. EGR is in the same location as a stock manifold.
