New from Houston, TX
I had to sell my 2000 GMC about 8 months ago to move to Norway. I have gone without a truck long enough, and found a tax loop hole here that if it's a 30yr old car the registration is only a grand. The registration is determined by engine size, vehicle type and weight, for example a new extended cab Chevy with a 5.3 will cost over 100k!
So I bought myself a 1970 GMC, and need to get a stereo installed, and posibly a front disc brake conversion before shipping it over here. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...0-0024_IMG.jpg |

Re: New from Houston, TX
mostly Northwest, and Now my folks live in spring branch, I-10 and 610 west, but I live in Norway now, and am having the truck shipped here. I needed something here to remind me of home, I'm sure it will get a lot of attention.
I am having my dad do some finishing touches like a stereo, new tires, and adding power to the brakes. Also considering putting in a less aggressive cam, my dad say's the 400 small block is running a little lumpy? But I am not sure what that will take. |

Re: New from Houston, TX
I remember a couple of years ago that Major Leaque Baseball advertised that if you didnt like base ball to move to Norway. I know the Astros have had some dissapointing seasons lately but did you really have to follow thru? Ha Ha just kidding. What caused you to move to Norway? Also if you come back stateside please bring that gorgeous GMC back as well. I am on numerous classic car forums and it seems because of the week U.S. dollar all of our classic vehicles are finding their way to Europe, Canada and Australia. Once again welcome aboard!

Re: New from Houston, TX
hehe, they always have to make it interesting right down to the wire so that I am watching the scoreboards all August and September. I got married to a girl up here, and a week dollar has made it fun to work here and shop back home. Just a big import headache, tons of weird rules and tax loops, but it will be more than well worth it!
