I'm looking to replace the bushings in the rear since well that's where I decided to start. In my experience with my Jeep rubber rides smoother, but doesn't last as long as poly. Since I don't plan on twisting my truck like a spider on springs like I try to do with my Jeep I'm guessing rubber would be fine.

What does everybody else do? From what I can tell looking at photos from LMC it looks like poly bushings might be a two piece and rubber might be a one piece. Is it difficult to press in the rubber bushings?

I'm looking at replacing the track bar and the bushings on my control arms.

Rubber is more 'flexy' and poly is tougher, but also tends to be squeeky.

I think for the trailing arms I would go with the poly...they would be there for the rest of the trucks life..thats for sure.

Burn out the old bushings...clean out the shells (they remain in the arms) with a wire wheel...lube up the polys and drive them in. THey go in really easy.

I also throw a tack on the shells for extra insurance to keep them put.

That is one pretty frame you got there.

I plan on doing sorta the same minus the Notch, but the back half first then moving up front then under the cab.

That is what I thought. They might squeek a little.

Thanks for the advice on the shells. I didn't think about tacking them in. Time to barrow the welder.
