More Questions
Starting to put the frame back together and filling holes getting ready to paint. I think I am going to use underbody coating on the frame since I have gotten a good cleaning done..shoujld have the holes filled today and primered up. Some key questions...still dont have a motor mount...did the original bolt or weld onto the frame?
How far back from the front of the frame did the fender brackets go? How far from the front did the steering box mount? Does anyone have the connector from the pitman arm to the tie rod they would like to get rid of? I have debated about changing the front axle out but I think since this one is in good shape I will just change the brakes out...thots? How bad was the steering on these? New metal starting to arrive so will start the priming process this weekend, am going with a one coat clear coat system over an oxidizing primer...will sand the primer down and use red putty to clean up the pitting unless someone has a better solution. So many damn holes in the frame I worry about filling them in until I dry fit everything once...Thanks gang! |
