Blazer glass
Someone came onto my dads acreage and shot out a bunch of window in cars on his property. One of the vehicles happened to be my 1972 blazer, the piece of crap or craps that did it shot out every window in my Blazer. Anyone know of any company that sells the glass for the doors, hardtop quarters, and rear hatch? I am having a difficult time finding it. Thanks, Rick

Re: blazer glass
Your local windshield shop should be able to get you a windshield - unless you've done it before, most agree it's a job that is worth paying someone else to do.
LMC has the window glass so I'm sure all the vendors on the board can get it also. However, the glass for the hard top doesn't appear to be listed. Being flat glass, I'm sure it could be cut to fit by a glass shop, but probably expensive! You might want to bite the bullet and become a paid subscriber and post a want to buy post in the classifieds. Someone probably will have what you need here on the board. I bet you are furious - that really sucks!

Re: blazer glass
Door glass can be purchased from a junk yard. The glass is the same as a truck.
As for the top, there has been a few tops given away in recent months. Ya might just keep your eyes open for one or, as Yukon suggested, become a subscribing member and post a wanted to buy thread.

Re: blazer glass
Sorry to hear about that. I know how upset you must be. Someone shot my back hatch glass over a year ago. Luckily a local board member had his glass out of his hatch, so I traced it and planned on taking it to a glass shop. Then another local guy had some back glass he'd sell me. I still haven't installed it, because I found a double wall in better condition.
If you want I could mail you the tracing I have of the back glass. That way you wouldn't have to take your blazer to the glass shop to get the glass cut. |

Re: blazer glass
I was at the lynnwood pull-a-part the other day, they had two decent 67-72 trucks. you could get door glass from. There are still fairly common in junk yards.

I have some door glass if you want to come get it. It is already out of the doors.

Re: blazer glass
did you call the guy parting that one out. Also, you might try calling Wes or Frank in Olympia to see if they have any stock or know where any is.

Re: blazer glass
No Bouncy I didn't get ahold of that other guy, but i do appreciate your lead. Kinda don't have the money to put into it right now. It is my restoration project and money is tight so finding the glass is one thing but buying it is kinda impossible right now I also need to find the glass for my 85 toyota 4x4 which was also at the scene of the crime. Dad has my step moms 65 Impala getting new rear window glass in it at a shop right now.
