Re: Finished the drop today!

Looks awesome!, can you post some pics of the c-notch? and was it a truck notch or did you buy one that is blazer specific? thanks

edit: I can see the notch now, but details about it would be great.

Re: Finished the drop today!

Thanks Bro!

I bought the notches for 73-87 pick-up's and had a friend of mine who does
metal fab. and welding modify them from a cardboard template I made to work, you only have to modify the back part of them because the frame tapers down the front of the notches don't need any modifing, then bolted them in and welded them to the frame also!

Re: Finished the drop today!

Thanks alot guys, I'll get some better pics of the notches tomorrow when it's not raining and thanks for reminding me to trim the u-bolts, think I forgot
because I was in such a hurry to get her on the ground to see the stance!

Springtime plans, 20" & 22" Gunmetal coys, install the tilt wheel I pick-up on ebay, change the grill and bezels to the 77-78 style, change the mirrors!

The Blazer looks a lot more at home closer to the ground, nice work!

Re: Finished the drop today!

Just curious, how many inches did you get out of your rear flip? I only ask because I got close to 8" and would have only liked to get about 6-7"

Re: Finished the drop today!

LMC says factory height is 34" to to wheel well lip in the rear and 32" in the front and w/ the 60 series tires and sagging leafs it was 31.5 out back before the drop now its 26.5 from the ground to the lip in the rear and 26.75 in the front!

So 7.5 from stock height out back and 5.25 in the front!

Re: Finished the drop today!

Hey man that is looking good! I am anxiously awaiting some more pics too. I have half of those parts and was planning on dropping mine EXACTLY the same way. Been thinking lately that I’m gonna bag it, but just got some quotes for a new roof from Ike, so now I’m thinking static again. I don’t know-I go back and forth everyday. So I‘m gonna be looking at your pics real close--so post some good ones please. How does it drive? Your future plans sound great BTW.
