Hi all, Does anyone know who might sell already made brake line replacements for a '71 GMC 1500 1/2 ton P/U? I looked at them, and it looks like 1/8" lines, junctioned into 1/4", and/or possibly 3/16" which I think is what I made/bent myself for the rear two wheels from the "splitter" valve(apportioning valve maybe?) at the rear axle back to both rear drum brakes...
I don't know if I have the time or patience to fashion so many different sized lines for the front from the master cylinder down to the front discs-etc; Also, can I just bolt in a power booster unit I bought for this model, which currently has a manual master cylinder on it now? Thanks alot for your help! Great site! |

Re: Who sells pre-made brake lines for a '71 GMC 1500 P/U?
In Line Tube is a good source for pre-bent brake lines and the lines are available in steel or stainless.
Here is the link: http://www.inlinetube.com/ Jim

Thanks for your help Guys! Checked out the sites and the prices seem okay!!
I don't know why GM made 2 or possibly 3 diff. diameter brake lines for their trucks, but my '71 sure has them! They all look OEM, so I guess it was just another "Corporate decision" ![]() ![]() |
