Speaker question
I might be getting a 81 C-10 LWB Silerado. My question is, I see the 2 smaller speaker holes in the sides of the dash, but is there any sort of rear speakers? Or did these trucks just come with the fronts? I have a really nice stereo in my old 87 burb now, and would like to try to use some of it in this 81 if I get it. Thanks.

Yes, rear speakers are an option--most I have seen had 4x10 speakers in the lower rear cab corner but you can also fit 6x9 speakers in that location if you either fabricate or purchase the correct brackets to hold them. You can also add speakers to the lower portion of the front doors--I had my local stereo shop make custom enclosures that held 2 6.5 speakers in the lower half of my front door. |
