different sized wheels

Has anyone run lets say a 15" rim in the rear for a drag tire, and lets say a 17" front rim to clear large brakes. Does it look stupid?

Re: different sized wheels

I have never seen that done on one of these trucks, or anything RWD as a matter of fact. I am going to say yes, it will look stupid.

I believe those are 15" rims out back and 17" or better up front. Its a look that goes really well on a vehicle that can manage 4500hp+.

Re: different sized wheels

lol that cracks me up.....i would say it depends on the tire size, for it to look good in my opinion would have to be big mean nasty drag slicks

Re: different sized wheels

I have seen people run slicks on stock wheels and have nice larger wheels up front. But they would put the matching wheels back on when they were not racing.

Re: different sized wheels

I've seen some newer trucks at the track that have 20" rims up front, and little 15" or 16" rims out back with drag radials or slicks. Obviously just as a cheap way to hook up at the track, and no, it doesn't look good.

Re: different sized wheels

i saw a 59 or so station wagon that had 20's up front and 18's out back but the rear wheel openings were only half of the front so it looked nice.
