A fathers/grand fathers dream
My son's 8th birthday was this week, my dad came to see him a little bit ago, out of no where he asked, "pa-paw can I have your old truck?" Pop's and I looked at each other with a blank stare, just looking at each other, after a long awkward pause, dad looked at him and said "it's yours, all pa-paw wants is his motor." My son then informed us of his "8 year plan" that involves saving his christmas/b-day/chore money to build his ride. We kinda got choked up, my dad and I built the truck once in the early 90's, I learned how to drive in that truck, now over the next several years my son and I will build it again, I hope he learns as much as I did.
Tyler and his truck.

That is way COOL. I hope he learns as much as you did too! It sounds as if he has been thinking about it now for awhile.

"pa-paw" might want to turn a wrench on this one too.I hope your son learns as much as you and that you enjoy it as much as "pa-paw" did the first time.

Re: A fathers/grand fathers dream
Good deal, I gave my youngest son a rust free '69 Supersport Chevelle with fresh dark blue paint....Never touched it and then asked for a new Scion when he turned 16 ????? Broke my heart, I almost asked for a DNA test.
