backfiring question
last night I ran low on fuel and now my burb will crank and idol just fine but as soon as you give it gas it spits and sputters and dies. i thought I might have sucked a bunch of trash into the fuel filter so I changed that but it didnt help, the truck has been sitting for a few years so i dont know what it could be.

sounds like it may be time to drop the gas tank and get the inside cleaned out... this southern humidity creeps into every tiny crevasse and can slowly rust it from inside out. The intank fuel pump may have the filter piece dried out or clogged, or the low fuel caused the pump to burn out. Mine stumbled a little bit but that was fixed when I replaced the pump.
