I have heard the same comment from three different repro hatch buyers in the last year.

Yah some of the hatch resembles the original somewhat, I am not sure if the glass will fit, I haven't got that far but I suspect it won't, the lip is twice as thick. I had to grind away a fair amount of fiberglass to get the hinges in the pockets, the holes weren't drilled for the bolts so I had to do that. Then comes the handle. There is no way on earth that the interior mechanisms of the handle will fit. The pictures will explain that pretty well. I contacted the place I think manufactures it which is http://www.bowtiebits.com/ but I have yet to receive a response to any of emails since sending them last July.

So as of now I am using the hatch from my Jimmy on my Blazer, which looks redneckish since it is a white hatch on a black top and the $525 heap of fiberglass I bought is sitting in my attic until I can invent a way how to make the handle work somehow.
