maaco not bad :)

Just wanted to post that after doing much reading here and on other forums I went and got a cheapo maaco job and it turned out really rather nice.. of course it all depends on the perticular shop but just wanted to say my local maaco treated me right and did a great job.

that looks great! I used Maaco for all the Jeeps I used to build. I was generally pleased with them too.

They did a job for me about 20 years ago that turned out
very nice, then I wrecked it and never could get a match.

Re: maaco not bad :)

For the $$$ they are a great deal, you cannot buy the materials for the cost of their paint jobs. I had them shoot my Camaro 12 or so years ago and the paint still looks good. I did all the prep work (sanding and body work) then dropped it off, they did a good job. I got an early Schieb's on one I was going to sell and it was decent too for $300!! All in what you want, do not go to either expecting a $3-5K paint job, as you will not get it, but as opposed to multi colored panels or primer, they do a good job!

all in I think it was right around $600 but only because I got a color change from the factory yellow.. if it was the same color it would ahve only been 299...

Re: maaco not bad :)

Did you the body work and sand and prep it or do they do it for that price?

Re: maaco not bad :)

What is like the deluxe price? Meaning the best paint (offered by MAACO) where they do interior and exterior. I know they have several versions of paint quality.
