Thanks for the pics! I can fab something like that. I just needed a reference point. I'm assuming it's held by the sides there (6 bolts, 3 on each side), as I have no holes on top going across to say there was a brace there. Sweet, that helps a lot!

The brackets are soldered to the radiator and bolt to the front core support. the area where your bolts stick out in your pictures is were this bolts on. The side mount brackets also serve to direct air into the radiator. The suspension on your truck is front torsion bar, should have some pretty big ball joints. I also found out that the rear trailing arms on my 61 were narrower than the mounts for a 65. Found that out when I swapped out my corporate axle for a 12 bolt. I ran mine out in the California desert as a pre-runner for several years in the early to mid 70's and never had a problem with that front suspension. Mine was a 61 shortbed stepside, 327, powerglide, 4.11 posi 12 bolt. Ran 3/4 ton rear coils a little crank on the torsion bars 32 inch Armstrong tru tracs and I had dual shocks all around. No PS or PB and a very weak heater. That truck get it done in the desert though! If I can scan a picture, I'll post one up.

Thanks for the info! I got some perlin today. I couldn't get the welder to crank, so now I gotta work on THAT! If it's not one thing it's another.

Slingnutt, welcome.
First -I too like your truck and its paint. second- there are many changes between a '62 and '65 and many parts look the same but are differant. like the 60-62 radiators bolted directly to the grille support. While '63-66 sits on a frame rail with top and bottom "U" brackets.
