lowering my 63?
So here is my question...
I have already installed 3" drop springs in the front and 4" drop springs in the rear. Is there anyway to lower my truck more without changing over to disk brakes? I would like to drop it another 2" and then make some lowering blocks for the rear. Am I stuck with having to make the switch? The main reason I don't want to switch to disk brakes and drop spindles is cause I want to run stock steel wheels and brothers says that you cannot use stock wheels. I'm assuming it's cause of the caliper, but not positive. Any help? Mark |

Re: lowering my 63?
In the front the only other way to lower it more would to "z" the frame. Which ends up being a lot of work. You could go with a drop member. Originally how I ran my truck was with 3" drop springs in the front, 5" drop springs in the back. 1" block in the back. 26" tall tires front and 29" tall back.
I later put discs and drop spindles on it too. Pics: Also, the stock wheels won't work with the discs. It does hit the caliper. There are wheels out there made to work with discs, but keep the stock look and bolt pattern.
