That's what I was thinking, but I'm still on the learning curve with the back-spacing issue. I want to make sure I can tuck them...

I think I'm going to stick with a 20/22 combo. You start to run out of room with a 22 on the front of these trucks. It all depends on how low your wanting to go. Check out this thread.

If you want to tuck deep and still drive on 22's you will need a narrowed track width, unless you get a wheel with mucho BS, and I think its still going to be close. The dropmember and 22x9 coys will drive ok tucked deep. Find the "Tootsie Roll" build and you will see what I'm talking about. It is discussed there.

I'm not going to put the rockers on the ground or anything. I just want the fenders to drop to the lip of the rim or so. I guess I should look for a 22"8" or 8.5" rim?

on my blazer i have 22 X 9.5 wheels with 265 35's
the fronts are 6 3/4 backspacing and the rear are 6 3/8....
then i added 1" adapters with makes the backspacing 5 3/4 & 5 3/8
here are pics showing how far they tuck.....

22x9 with 5.5" BS up front will be close, but should be ok. I have 18x8 with 4.5" BS which is the same as a 9" wide wheel with 5.5" BS. I'm running a 27.3" and before I pulled the inners, the top of my rim came almost to the bottom of fender at ride height and never rubbed. The tire was close but never rubbed.

hope this helps i just moved my stock crossmember up 2" and forward 1". a lot of steering and control arm modifying but they are 22x9 coys.

Nice...the work was worth it to center the rims up nicely....looks great!

Can anyone give me some help I am running foose nitrous 22x9.5 5.9"bs front and back with 265/40's and stock height I am looking to drop it with ece 2.5 spindles and 4" coil out back will the drop in the front effect my turnning radius as far as rubbing lock to lock. My truck is a 71 swb cheyenne.
