I know it sounds stupid but... was there ever a 3/4 ton 1966 Chevy with 6 lug axles?

I ask this because I think the front end I have is a 1971 Chevy 3/4 ton. Everything is bigger than the stock front end. But, the '71 front end had 5 lug studs.

All '60-'66 Chevy C10 (1/2 ton/2wd) and K10 (1/2 ton/4x4) trucks were six lugs.

All '60-'66 Chevy C20 (3/4 ton/2wd) and K20 (3/4 ton/4x4) trucks were eight lugs.

None of the '60-'66 Chevy trucks came from the factory with five lugs.

If your truck has a '71 disc brake front suspension that is 5 lug, then it is a 1/2 ton suspension.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. Do you know why that won't bolt up? We were told that front end would bolt up. Kinda frustrated

Every one I've done was just a matter of drilling one hole on each side and elongating one hole on each side. The rest of the holes match up. Maybe post a pic of your situation.

Now when you get to the steering, that is a little different. You'll need to drill new holes for the idler arm, and you'll need an adapter for the power steering box.....and drill some more holes.
