Rear Mount Gas Tank
I'm almost ready to order and install my 21 gallon rear mount tank where the spare tire used to go. I know this is a fairly popular install for most trucks with the in cab tank so my question for those of you who have done it already, what does everybody suggest to do about the fuel line and where is the best place to buy it?

I used 3/8" steel brake tubing and inverted flare fittings. If you have a 3/8" bender and flaring tools it makes a nice cheap installation that is very rugged. I think most people use rubber gas hose or stainless braided hose. TR

I ended up going to a marine parts store to get my 1 1/2" filler hose and the 3/8" rubber fuel line. The local auto parts store didn't have 1 1/2" filler hose in stock. Here is a pic of my tank installed.

don't want to jack this post but what year is your truck 62 Vair?Is it a 62?All the rear tank kits say 63-66 so I was wondering what kit you have(if you have a 62)thanks,Bo
